NINJA SEISHIN  -

Ninja seishin-towa,
Shin-shin-shiki-o shinobu,
Ninniku seishin-o konpon-to suru.
Chijoku-o shinon-de urami-o hoji-saru,
Nintai seishin-o yashinau kotoni hajimaru mono-dearu.

The essence of the Ninja spirit is fortitude―
perseverance of mind, body and
consciousness. Endure shame and forget
jealousy―the origin is patience.

Nin-towa,
Kokoro-no ueni yaiba-o oite,
Yaiba-de hito-o kizutsuke-tari
Suruyona monodewa-naku,
Kajo-waraku,
Hana-no gotoki joai-o motte,
Heiwa-o tanoshimu mono-dearu.

Nin is not placing “blade” over “heart” to
hurt others. Nin means “kajo-waraku,”
a truly strong and compassionate heart,
pure as a delicate flower;
such heart shall enjoy peace.

Yueni, tai-o motte,
Shizen-ni aite-no ken-o sake,
Sugata-o kesu,
Kyojitsu tenkan-no myo-o-e,
Iccho kuni-no tametoka, gi-no-tameni,
Chi sui ka fu ku-no
Daishizen-o riyoshite,
Aite-o seisuru kotoga,
Ninja-no konpon gensoku dearu.

Attain the wonder of the changing strategy;
your body will naturally evade the
opponents sword. In defense against the
enemies of justice, society and country,
utilize natures Earth, Water, Fire, Wind,
and Air. This is the fundamental
principle of the Ninja.
